Mount Nebo, Cullman, celebrated its 100th anniversary Oct. 22. Special music was provided by Emily Whittle, April Cason, Abigail Roy and Chasity McRae; a piano solo by Josh White; The Nebo Mountainair’s praise team; and congregational hymns led by Darryl Moses, minister of music.
Four former pastors and Justin Olvey, the association’s director of missions, were guest speakers. Joyce Peters, a commissioner of the Alabama Baptist Historical Commission, presented a plaque to the church and pastor Gary Waddell.
“We have a history of people here at Mt. Nebo loving God. This 100th anniversary is not the end. The future is all about serving Jesus,” Waddell said.
