Mount Zion Baptist Church, Huntsville, on mission

Tiffany Catron, a member of Mount Zion Baptist Church, Huntsville, in Madison Baptist Association, returned home in June after serving four months in Peru through Hands On, an International Mission Board short-term missions program for college students and young adults.

Catron and her four teammates worked in the villages of Matucana and Santiago building relationships, teaching through Bible storying, witnessing and even farming alongside the natives in potato fields.

Catron described the experience as “amazing” and said she grew spiritually.

“God taught me so much about prayer, relying on Him and putting away selfish desires,” Catron said. “He filled me with joy and love for the people there.”
