The North American Mission Board has appointed three new missionaries in Mobile.
Jarrod M. and Jessica Watts are serving as port ministries missionaries in Mobile.
Jarrod Watts will assist Mobile Baptist Association in the Seafarers Ministry at the International Ministries Center in Mobile, while Jessica Watts will assist Mobile Association in promoting English as a Second Language programs in area Baptist churches.
Jarrod Watts earned a bachelor of arts in middle school education at the University of Queensland in Australia, where he grew up and where the couple met while Jessica was doing missions work there.
They lived in Australia several years after they were married.
Jessica Watts earned a bachelor of science in marketing at the University of Tennessee-Martin and attended Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas.
Jessica Watts, who will serve as a US/C-2 missionary in Mobile, will continue to work on her master’s degree in missiology at Southwestern Seminary.
Emily J. Toles is serving as a special ministries missionary in Mobile.
She also will be assistant director at Camp Whispering Pines in Citronelle and focusing on community outreach in the area.
A native of Arab, Emily recently graduated from Moody Bible Institute in Chicago with a bachelor of arts in family counseling.
She also attended Word of Life Bible Institute in Florida. She recently served as a site director with YouthWorks on Mississippi’s Gulf Coast. (NAMB)
