New Accelerated Second Degree Nursing Program

New Accelerated Second Degree Nursing Program

March 1 is application deadline for Samford’s new accelerated second degree bachelor of science in nursing program. The program offered by Samford’s Ida V. Moffett School of Nursing enables those who already hold a bachelor’s degree in a field other than nursing to earn a nursing degree in 15 months.

Students complete the nursing degree in four semesters including a full summer term, going into nursing clinical courses the first semester.

Students who apply now will begin classes in the fall. Applicants must hold a baccalaureate degree in another field with a minimum grade point average of 2.8 on a 4.0 scale, and meet certain requirements in several science courses.

Applications are available online or by contacting Jan Paine at 205-726-2746. For more information, go to the nursing school website at nursing.samford.edu.
