New look for state paper’s online resource

The Alabama Baptist unveiled a newly designed and resource–enhanced Web site March 18.

The site, www.thealabamabaptist.org, offers a multitude of services and resources as well as an archive of recent years’ articles in the print edition.

"We are pleased to provide this tremendous supplement to our print piece and thank the staff of Man in the Maze Marketing out of Hoover for all of their hard work to make this happen," said Bob Terry, president and publisher of The Alabama Baptist. "The state paper’s Web site should prove to be a helpful resource for daily Christian living as well as an opportunity to gain information and inspiration."

Thousands of articles are already posted on the site in various categories such as real life issues (addictions, parenting, health, etc.), church resources (Bible study tools, missions education, music, etc.) and Baptist news (international, national, Alabama, etc.). There are 10 content areas broken down into numerous subcategories.

A new video section will provide clips about Baptist work statewide, across the nation and around the world. The site will also offer an opportunity to submit upcoming events and story ideas.

Alabama Baptist church leaders may be most excited about another new section that will post church position openings free of charge.

"This is a ministry opportunity for us to help Alabama Baptists," Terry explained. "We look forward to hearing feedback from our readers about the site."
