The North American Mission Board recently appointed four new missionaries with Alabama ties to serve in Florida, Pennsylvania and Ohio.
Leshay B. Brannan, a Wilmer native, has been named local collegiate evangelism missionary in the Baptist Collegiate Ministry of Florida State University in Tallahassee.
A graduate of Auburn University, she recently completed a two-year term in South Asia as a journeyman with the International Mission Board.
Florence-native Lena Plunk now serves in Harrisburg, Pa., as a children’s missions and ministry consultant. Prior to her current position, she was Web/children’s missions and ministry consultant for the Baptist Convention of Pennsylvania/South Jersey.
Plunk is a graduate of Blue Mountain College in Mississippi.
James and Hilary Taylor serve in Dayton, Ohio, where he has been appointed as a multihousing church-planting missionary.
A native of Opelika, James Taylor graduated from Auburn. Hilary Taylor, also an Alabama native, attended Enterprise-Ozark Community College and the University of Mobile. (NAMB)
