When You Come Around (Grass Roots)

“So when I speak and when I sing and with every testimony I bring/Lord, I’ll tell of You and Your-wonderworking power in me” — lyrics from the song “When I Speak.”

From their beginning as worship leaders on the campus of Ouachita Baptist University in Arkadelphia, Ark., the members of Nickel and Dime have made it clear they desire nothing more than to know God and to make Him known. This four-man ensemble is wholly devoted to declaring the glory of God to anyone who will listen.

Produced by Watermark’s Nathan Nockels, “When You Come Around” is the third album to be released by Nickel and Dime. With each album, the band has continued to grow both musically and lyrically. Each album reflects a deeper understanding of God’s majesty and mercy.

Musically, Nickel and Dime could be described as pop/rock, but the thing that sets this band apart is the content of their music. Each song reveals a worship dialogue between God and His people.

The songs “My Heart Is In Your Hands,” “My Desire” and “Thirsty For You” are all expressions of worship, confessing a desire to know God more intimately and to rely upon Him in all aspects of life. The song “Come Away” characterizes God’s desire to fellowship with us.

Nickel and Dime has not gained a great deal of national attention, but this is a band that is serious about sharing the love of God with others. For more information on the band, please visit their Web site at http://www.nickelanddime.com.
