Mount Hebron Baptist Church, Northport, begins construction on a new 2,900-square-foot sanctuary that will incorporate a choir area, sound room, one classroom and two restrooms/changing areas on either side of the baptistry. The current sanctuary will be converted into classrooms with two wheelchair-accessible restrooms. Two of those classrooms will serve as nursery and preschool areas, which will share a third restroom. The church hopes to finish construction in the spring of 2014. Steve Stamps is pastor.
