Oakey Grove Baptist Church, Newville, celebrated its 175th anniversary Aug. 31. Guest musician Ian Hudspeth led worship. Pastor Don Adams accepted a commemorative plaque presented by Jane Hughes, a commissioner for the Alabama Baptist Historical Commission. A fellowship meal was served following the service.
