Wonderful Life
Paths Music
Jeremiah 6:16 says, “Thus saith the Lord, stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls … ” Hopefully you have known the rest that is found in the Lord Jesus Christ and can identify with this word. The Old Paths Quartet has set a course “in the way” and is convinced it is a “good way” to a “wonderful life.”
Manager Doug Roark, along with Tim Rackley, Jeremy Peace and brand-new bass singer Daniel Ashmore, is taking an “old path” that most quartets do not care to travel. You won’t find this quartet headlining many of the big all-night singings and concert halls around the country. Roark and the guys focus the majority of their efforts on the Church, and from what they report, it is paying off. The same can be said for their records. Their records are filled with straight-up southern gospel songs with very few frills or recording tricks. The formula is very much in line with Old Paths Quartet’s direction. If you ask them, they will tell you that the Lord is blessing them with a “wonderful life.”
