Outstanding Alumna Named

Judson College presented Bobbie Causey Walden, of Gadsden, the 2008 Outstanding Alumna Award in April.

Walden grew up in Tuscaloosa and graduated from Judson in 1956. She earned her master’s and doctorate from Auburn University. She retired from the Alabama Department of Education after serving as director of community education.

The Bobbie Causey Walden Scholarship was established in 1999 to benefit Judson students who demonstrate financial need and academic promise. Judson bestowed on Walden an honorary doctorate in June 2005.

Walden and her husband, Bob, have two children and two grandchildren.
