Q: Why have you supported missions for so many years?
A: I’ve always loved missions. My daddy was a Methodist preacher and we always had missionaries come and stay with us. I guess I was born into it.
Q: What does this support demand?
A: I don’t feel like it’s a demand. I describe it as a service. It requires time, love for missions, giving to missions and supporting missionaries.
Q: What do you get from your support of missions?
A: I get a great blessing from everything we do. Our church is very active in the missions action program. Our WMU leads the church into giving needed supplies to different organizations in Birmingham.
Q: How do other family members support you?
A: They are very supportive. Becky and her husband were missionaries in the Philippines for five years.
Q: How do you see yourself involved in this in the future?
A: I guess I’ll be in it until I die. I love missions.
