Pam Holt joins state Baptist paper staff in new advertising sales associate position

Pam Holt has joined the staff of The Alabama Baptist as a sales associate in the advertising department.

She works under the supervision of Sue Ann Raybon, director of advertising.

A native of Birmingham, Holt spent the past seven years in Fairhope, where she ran her own retail business.

Holt has many years of experience in the sales and marketing fields including the health care and travel industries.

Her responsibilities at the state Baptist paper include working with existing advertising customers, helping to cultivate new clients and assisting in the development of new advertising revenue sources such as Web and church advertising.

"We are very pleased to have Pam come on board with us," Raybon said. "Her marketing skills, experience and enthusiasm will enhance our advertising efforts, and we look forward to her contributions as she helps us grow our business."

Bob Terry, president and publisher of The Alabama Baptist, noted the sales associate position is a new one for the state Baptist paper.

"We decided to move in this direction midyear as a way to help keep subscription costs down for our readers," he said.

"With the increased postage rates and a continual climb in paper costs, the state Baptist paper must find additional revenue to produce the paper. The new sales position will help grow our advertising revenue and provide the resources we need to continue providing a valuable product at a low cost for individuals and churches." (TAB)
