“Passion: White Flag,” recorded live earlier this year at Passion 2012 at the Georgia Dome, features artists Chris Tomlin, David Crowder Band, Charlie Hall, Matt Redman, Christy Nockels, Kristian Stanfill, Hillsong United and Lecrae. It’s similar to other Passion recordings with excellent performances and impeccable recording, putting the listener right in the middle of things.

“White Flag” is setting records for sales and radio play, opening at No. 5 on the Billboard Top 200 and flying to the No. 4 spot on iTunes Top Albums Overall Chart as soon as it was released. The title track, performed by Chris Tomlin, was the most added track at Christian Adult Contemporary (AC) radio in its debut week. The entire record is outstanding. Stanfill starts things off with a kicking version of “I Am Not Ashamed,” followed by Tomlin on the title track. David Crowder Band and Charlie Hall add their special gifts to the evening. Nockels’ three songs are jewels, her voice one of the most touching instruments I’ve ever heard. Redman’s “10,000 Reasons” is a beautifully written, moving worship ballad, dropping his listeners to their knees while lifting their souls toward our Father. Tomlin finishes things up with the anthemic “No Turning Back.”

Great performances have always been a hallmark of the Passion recordings. This is the best yet.
