From time to time the global community blesses us with an artist or group from another part of the world.
In the case of the Paul Colman Trio, known affectionately as pc3 to their fans, this gift is one that appears to have some staying power. After taking their homeland of Australia by storm, the threesome is poised to share its music with the rest of the world.
The group is made up of frontman/guitarist Colman, bassist Grant Norsworthy and drummer Phil Gaudion.
Together the trio has assembled a paradoxical rock sound that is joyful and energetic while possessing a no-nonsense attitude at the same time.
The album begins with the in-your-face track “Turn,” which encourages God’s people to search their hearts and turn to God. Another highlight of the album is the catchy “Fill My Cup.”
“That song’s about somebody being so empty in life, they just surrender themselves.
“It’s a cry out; there’s nothing more I can do in my own strength but ask God to fill my cup,” Gaudion said of the song.
The Paul Colman Trio possesses a very fresh sound that captures the essence of the band and its message. They are serious about their music, but they share it with joy and enthusiasm.
