Life of Love
Daywind Records
“Life of Love” is Daywind Records’ newest effort for the 2004 Mixed Quartet of the Year, the Perrys.
Following on the heels of their highly-acclaimed “This Is the Day” recording, the pressure was on to deliver another top-notch project. Suffice it to say, they were successful.
As with the case of the last few Perrys recordings, this release offers a little something for everyone.
There are several songs to take notice of, including their first radio single, “I Will Find You Again.”
It’s already a heavy favorite at southern gospel radio and it’s created even more room in the playlists for the Perrys.
Hot on that song’s heels, though, are several other single possibilities: “His Name Was John,” “What a God,” “But I Met a Nazarene” and the Cathedral Quartet-sounding “Living a Life of Love.”
But there’s plenty more to enjoy, too. “Jesus Opened up the Way” — complete with shape-note singing — gets the recording off to a definite southern gospel start and from there, it’s quality all the way.
Sit back and enjoy and listen to “His Grace Will Lead Me Home,” “We Will Be Changed,” “City Not Made With Hands,” “I Am the Water” and “David and Goliath.”
