Bethany Baptist Church, Phenix City, broke ground Oct. 5 to begin construction on a new worship center, with completion expected for Easter 2009. The 11,000-square-foot facility will cost $2.25 million, and the church anticipates being debt-free upon move in. Pastor is Jimmie Hobbs (far right).
