John W. Marks Sr. is the new director of missions (DOM) for Bethlehem and Pine Barren associations, effective Jan. 15. A native of Winston County, Marks has served as DOM of Central Association for more than eight years and served the 39 years prior to that as a pastor or staff member of Alabama Baptist churches. He attended Samford University in Birmingham and graduated from New Orleans Seminary. Marks and his wife of 40 years, Maarah, have three children and two grandchildren.
