Today, May 18th, in the Decatur Daily, I just read the article on “Congress is asked to end its ban on pulpit politicking.”
I personally think this is one of the most stupid attempts to mix politics with preaching that I’ve ever heard of.
A pastor is called of God to “preach the Word” not politic. And I would be willing to vote out any Congressman who voted in favor of this, and I’d do all I could to get rid of any preacher who would use the pulpit to politick.
I do not like any kind of politicking in the church.
