Remedy Drive

Daylight Is Coming
Word Records

It’s obvious — Remedy Drive is hungry for fans. There’s no other way to explain “Stand Up,” the first track from “Daylight Is Coming,” the piano-wielding pop-rockers’ debut for Word Records. It’s a trap — so catchy, so powerful, so good, with shimmering hooks reminiscent of Switchfoot’s crossover hit “Meant to Live,”as well as strains of All Star United (ASU), likely the footprint of ASU frontman Ian Eskelin, who produced the record. At just over half an hour long, “Daylight Is Coming” is an obvious sign that Remedy Drive, a quartet of brothers from Nebraska, also know how to keep fans: leave them wanting more.
