I have long admired the men and women in our armed forces. Both of my grandfathers were in the military during World War II. Also my cousin now serves in the U.S. Air Force, having already been deployed to Iraq. We should never forget the men and women who stand in harm’s way on our behalf. They deserve our letters and prayers. As a Marine corporal once said, “So stand in my shoes, and leave from your home. Fight for the people who hate you, the stranger, the young, the sick, the poor … so they all may have the greatest freedom.”
Thank you all — past, present and future. God bless our troops and God bless America.
