Remembering 9/11: Where were you on that day 25 years ago?

1. Capt. Richard Weir has the image forever printed on his mind of a fellow firefighter picking up a Gatorade bottle at Ground Zero in the aftermath of 9/11 with anguish in his eyes.

2. Vincent Forras said he wasn’t “that religious” the moment he got buried in rubble at Ground Zero, but all of a sudden, he decided it was time to be.

3. Blain Burgess said he was so shaken up, he couldn’t go home. So he found himself at Whitesburg Baptist Church.

4. Suzanne Olden said she remembers her son, Eric, bounding off the school bus on Sept. 11, 2001, saying, “Mommy! Guess what? School closed early today because it’s my birthday!”
