Jerome Sherrill, a retired bivocational pastor in Franklin Baptist Association, died July 15. He was 86.
Sherrill served as pastor of Macedonia Baptist Church, Russellville; Mount Hebron Baptist Church, Spruce Pine; Crooked Oak Baptist Church, Tuscumbia; Vina First Baptist Church; and back to Mount Hebron Baptist before retiring. In total, he served as a pastor for 46 years.
He also retired from Reynolds Aluminum after 36 years as a crane operator.
Sherrill is survived by his wife of 67 years, Yvonne; sons, Mike and Alan; five grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
