Retired Alabama pastor Rex Edmon Henderson of Dothan died Jan. 25 after an extended illness. He was 75.
Born in Houston County, Henderson worked with Liberty National Life Insurance Company in Dothan before entering the ministry in 1972.
He served as pastor of several churches, including Cedar Springs Baptist Church and Mount Enon Baptist Church, both in Columbia Association; Shorterville Baptist Church, Judson Association; New Brockton First Baptist Church, Calvary Baptist Church and Mount Pleasant Baptist Church, all in Coffee Association; and Spring Creek Baptist Church in Donalsonville, Ga.
Henderson was preceded in death by his parents, a brother and a son.
He is survived by his wife, Doris Johnson Henderson, two sons and their wives, a daughter and her husband, five grandchildren, his brother, sister and other relatives.
