Although Curtis Rich, director of missions (DOM) of Bullock-Centennial Baptist Association, has “retired” from that role, his half-century of time in the Lord’s service is still gaining speed.
Just one week after stepping down as DOM, Rich picked up another pastorate at Evergreen Baptist Church, Clayton, in Barbour Baptist Association. “I’m not retiring; I’m just refocusing,” he said. “It’s a joy to serve the Lord. When one door closes, He always opens another door. I’m amazed at what He’s done in my life. I’m just a country boy who God saved by His grace, and I see all the blessings He’s brought.”
A graduate of Norman Park Junior College in Georgia and Baptist Bible Institute (now Baptist College of Florida) in Graceville, Fla., Rich served as pastor of Basin Baptist Church, Elba, in Coffee Association; Eastside Baptist Church, Union Springs, Mount Carmel Baptist Church, Union Springs, Inverness Baptist Church, Union Springs, all in Bullock-Centennial Association; Mount Zion Baptist Church, Louisville, and Clio Baptist Church both in Barbour Association; Napier Baptist Church, Dothan, and Cedar Springs Baptist Church, Ashford, both in Columbia Association. He also has served as pastor of churches in Georgia and Mississippi.
