Ridgecrest Baptist Church, Tuscaloosa, on mission

First Baptist Church, Columbiana, took a group of 25 people to McMinnville, Tenn., on a construction missions trip June 6–11.

It partnered with Ridgecrest Baptist Church, Tuscaloosa, which traveled with a group of about 30 members. Most of the team helped build Bridges of Hope Fellowship Church’s first building, while the rest of the team held Bible school for area children. Bridges of Hope Fellowship broke ground June 1 and plans to have the building completed by the end of June.

“It is always a life changing experience. … You gain so much spiritually,” Mike Miller, senior pastor of First, Columbiana, said of going on these types of trips.
