Robert “Robby” Joplin is the new pastor of Oak Grove Church, Glencoe. He helped plant Redeemer Church, Oxford, along with a group of others, and served as youth pastor for Macedonia Church, Ranburne, and Harmony Church, Anniston. Joplin also serves as the liaison for the Defense Logistics Agency Chaplain Care Team. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Southeastern Bible College in Birmingham. He and his wife, Crystal, have three children.
When my wife and I said, “I do” over 20 years ago, neither of us knew very much about marriage. We were certain, however, that dreams, not exit strategies, were our primary ambition for the future.
While doing some spring cleaning, I discovered in the bottom of a drawer, a church pictorial directory which was about 6-year old. Glancing through it, I noticed that many once active families had dropped out and no longer attended.
