Ronald “Ronnie” Earl Blake, pastor of Little Sandy Baptist Church, Tuscaloosa, died Nov. 25. He was 58.
Blake, who attended the University of North Alabama in Florence, later earned his bachelor’s degree online from North Mississippi Baptist Bible Institute based in Belden, Miss.
He accepted Christ later in life at the age of 40 in 1995. The following year he co-founded RoadBlock Ministries, a prison ministry that takes the gospel to juvenile detention centers.
In 2001, Blake became pastor of Little Sandy Baptist in Tuscaloosa Baptist Association. He served there until the time of his passing.
Blake also was a talented singer and released seven albums. He sang at Bible conferences and revivals across the country.
He is survived by his wife, Vickie, and one son.
