Ruth Ash, dean of the Orlean Bullard Beeson School of Education and Professional Studies at Samford University, will lead a panel of university educators in a discussion of “How Can We Improve the Education of Our Children?” during the Feb. 8 meeting of the Samford University Auxiliary. The public is invited.
Ash recently accepted on behalf of Samford University the United States Department of Education’s first national award for Effective Teacher Training by Secretary of Education Richard Riley.
Refreshments will be served at the Samford Auxiliary at 10 a.m. in the upper auditorium of the Wright Fine Arts Center, followed by the panel discussion at 10:30 a.m. in the lower auditorium. (TAB)
