The Samford Men’s basketball team is headed to the Midwest Regional to the NCAA tournament March 16.
Samford earned a No. 13 seed and will play Big East Conference opponent No. 4-seed Syracuse at the Cleveland State Convocation Center in Cleveland, Ohio.
The game will be televised on CBS, but a starting time was not known by press time.
Samford (21-10) won the TransAmerica Athlectic Conference Tournament championship for the second straight year with a 78-69 win over Central Florida March4. Samford, which has won nine of its last 10 games, was a No. 14 seed in last year’s NCAA tournament and lost to Big East member St. John’s, 69-43.
Tickets for the Midwest Regional in Cleveland are sold out, but Samford was allotted 350 tickets for students and fans. For information, call 205-726-2050.
