Samford University’s estimated annual economic impact on the state of Alabama is more than $424.8 million, including 2,424 jobs and $16.1 million in income and sales taxes, according to a study released Sept. 5. The study also found Samford graduates earn higher incomes and generate more income tax and states sales tax as a result of their Samford education. The independent study was conducted by the Center for Business and Economic Research at the University of Alabama.
