The Michael J. and Mary Anne Freeman Theatre and Dance Series at Samford University will present “The Piano Lesson” by August Wilson Oct. 20–22 at 7:30 p.m. and Oct. 23 at 2:30 p.m. in Samford’s Bolding Studio.
The Pulitzer Prizewinning play, set in the Great Depression, is the story of two siblings’ struggle to come to terms with their inheritance and the ghosts of their ancestors. Raising questions about family, remembrance and the legacy of slavery, “The Piano Lesson” promises a poignant evening of drama.
