Samford University’s theatre department will present Shirley Lauro’s powerful drama “A Piece of My Heart” April 10–13 in Bolding Studio on Samford’s campus. Performances will be at 7:30 p.m. April 10–12 and 2:30 p.m. April 13.
“A Piece of My Heart” tells the true story of several women who served in Vietnam, mostly as nurses but also as humanitarians and entertainers. It recounts their own painful experiences but serves chiefly as a heroic testimony to the countless women who gave their time, and sometimes their lives, for the service of others.
