Samford University’s department of Journalism and Mass Communication (JMC) will award six to eight partial scholarships to freshmen who enroll in the fall of 2013. The application deadline has been extended to March 1 for the scholarships, worth $1,800 per year.
The scholarships will be awarded based on ACT scores, high school grades, volunteer work and participation in media-related clubs. They can be renewed each year that the student maintains a 3.5 or better GPA and is involved with Samford student media.
