SBC Credentials Committee meets, elects EC member Bramlett chair

The Credentials Committee of the Southern Baptist Convention (SBC) held its initial meeting July 22 by video conference, electing Stacey Bramlett as its chair. Bramlett is one of three members of the Credentials Committee nominated by the SBC Executive Committee (EC). She has been a member of the EC since 2016, serving as EC secretary from 2017 to 2019. 

The Credentials Committee was repurposed during the 2019 SBC annual meeting to make inquiries and recommendations for action regarding instances of abuse, racism or other issues that call a church’s relationship with the SBC into question. (BP)
