Scott Ferguson is the new pastor of First Church, LaFayette. He holds degrees from Auburn University and Southern Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky. Ferguson also has served at Westview Church, Opp; Central Church, Opelika; Thomasville Church; and Macedonia Church, Union Springs. He also served as an adjunct instructor for Samford University’s Ministry Training Institute. He and his wife, Jennifer, have six children.
The Senate Thursday also passed Sen. Keith Kelley’s Senate Bill 41 to prohibit people who are convicted of elder abuse and neglect or financial exploitation of an elderly person from profiting from that person’s death.
