“Atmosphere” does for Sevenglory what a sophomore release should do for a band — solidifies its reputation and creates even more excitement. Suffused with a creative depth somewhat lacking in their debut, the band’s latest record keeps things interesting throughout all 10 tracks.

The first song pops out of the gate with the energy and vibe of a Yellowcard hit and is followed by nine more that bear the influences, in varying degree, of Dashboard Confessional, Hoobastank, even early Third Eye Blind. The songs are just catchier this go ’round, with more of an edge — all in a good way.
