Shades Mountain Church, Vestavia Hills, will hold “Christmas by Candlelight: Thy Perfect Light” on Dec. 4, 2 p.m. and 6 p.m. A short film will be featured along with music performed by the choirs, bands and orchestra. The film is a modern-day retelling of the three wise men. Danny Wood is pastor.
