More than 1,600 volunteers help pack 320,976 meals at Shades Mountain Baptist Church, Vestavia Hills, for the Feed My Starving Children program. They set up packing stations in the Christian Life Center in late January. Volunteers ranging from fourth graders to senior adults packed enough meals to feed 879 children for one year.
