ASHEVILLE, N.C. — George Beverly Shea, known widely as the mainstay gospel singer at Billy Graham evangelistic crusades for more than 60 years, was released from an Asheville, N.C., hospital recently.
Shea, 95, entered Mission Memorial Hospital May 27 with a heart problem, but the Associated Press reported Shea as saying he felt well enough to continue his recovery at home and he appreciated everyone’s prayers for him.
