Clete Sipes, former Auburn Univeristy Baptist campus minister, died Jan. 23. Sipes had been Baptist campus minister at Auburn for 19 years.
Born in Oklahoma, Sipes lived most of his life in Louisiana. He was a graduate of Louisiana State University and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas.
During his ministry career, Sipes served as pastor, minister of music and youth minister in churches in Louisiana and Texas. He came to Auburn in November 1983.
Sipes is survived by his wife, Nelda, three children and five grandchildren.
