ANTA CATARINA, Brazil — The International Bible Society (IBS) — a translator, publisher and distributor of Bibles around the world — reports that it is working with Campus Crusade for Christ to distribute more than 16,000 Bibles to Brazilians hit by Cyclone Catarina in March.
The cyclones hit 39 cities in the state of Santa Catarina, killed 13 people and left thousands of families homeless.
The storm caused more than $300 million in damage. IBS said that along with 13,000 Portuguese New Testaments and Gospels of John, 3,600 copies of “The True Seeker” and “What Matters” booklets, in Portuguese, will also be distributed to disaster victims.
