All over Southern Louisiana, there are men and women in bright yellow shirts. In partnership with local churches, they are working – rain or shine – to clear debris, feed as many people as they can and share the love of Christ. They’ve driven for hours, hauling trailers and equipment, coming from at least a dozen states. A pair of The Baptist Paper correspondents were in Louisiana the week of Sept. 12 to capture the work and witness of this ministry.
As people are trying to put their lives back together after Hurricane Ida, this yellow shirt army is here, being the hands and feet of Christ. This is Southern Baptist Disaster Relief.
