Benjamin “Ben” S. Stubblefield is the new pastor of Spring Hill Baptist Church, Mobile. A native of Mobile, Stubblefield holds a bachelor’s degree in English and finance from Auburn University and a master of divinity and doctor of philosophy in New Testament theology from Southern Seminary, where he currently serves as a trustee.
He served nine years as pastor of First Baptist Church Jackson.
Prior to that, he was pastor of New Washington Christian Church in Indiana for five years while completing his seminary degrees.
Stubblefield has served as professor of New Testament for the Center for Christian Calling at University of Mobile and an adjunct faculty member for other Baptist institutions.
He has been active in his community of Jackson, where the mayor recently declared June 5 as Ben Stubblefield Day.
He also has served in several roles with Clarke County Baptist Association and the Alabama Baptist State Convention on the Committee on Committees.
He and his wife, Carrie, have three children.
