What would you do if following Jesus Christ cost you everything — even your very life?
That is what propels “The Persecution,” a live performance drama Spring Valley Baptist Church, Springville, will present Oct. 20, 21, 27 and 28 at 6 and 7:30 p.m.
Spring Valley Baptist Pastor Barry Britt wrote the “intense drama” to challenge people to a deeper commitment to Christ. It portrays a man choosing to follow Christ in the face of tribulation, Britt explained.
The church’s previous drama, “The Tale of Two Thieves,” saw hundreds of people make decisions to receive Christ as their Savior or renew their commitment to the Lord, Britt said. The St. Clair Baptist Association church hopes “The Persecution” will have the same impact.
