Judson College registrar Eleanor Drake received the Alumnae Association Past President’s Award for Staff Excellence in April.
Drake grew up in Greensboro and graduated from Judson in 1986. She is the sixth recipient of the award to recognize college staff for their contribution and the first Judson alumna to be honored with the award.
Drake majored in psychology at Judson and earned certification in social sciences, envisioning a career as a public school teacher. She taught history at Judson during the short term of 1987 and then began a career spanning two decades and several jobs at the college. She became registrar in 2000.
Drake and her husband, Walton, are the parents of three children and have six grandchildren.
