Stellar Kart has always been fantastic at what they do — catchy power pop or, if you prefer, pop-punk. “Expect the Impossible,” their third album, again under the hand of contemporary Christian music vet Ian Eskelin, is the best expression of their abilities. Heavy with keyboards evocative of ’80s arena rock groups like Van Halen (especially on the song “Eyes”), the record is relentlessly catchy and the lyrics are unapologetically Christian.
