After hearing the stories, Alfredo believed and was ready to be baptized. He waited and prayed, wanting his wife to choose to follow Jesus too, so they could be baptized together.
All the small Illinois church wanted to do was be involved in missions. They prayed about it and prayed some more. Then, they sent two of their own to investigate partnerships with the International Mission Board.
The extensive training and services help IMB missionaries engage people, like Mark, who have never heard the gospel. John Everett and Rosie Collins are two examples of being well prepared to share the good news with a lost and dying world.
“Tonight, we will celebrate what God is doing because of the work all of us in this room are doing together,” said Todd Lafferty, IMB executive vice president, welcoming those attending the dinner.
