Tannehill Valley Baptist Church, McCalla, on mission

About 20 members of Tannehill Valley Baptist Church, McCalla, in Bessemer Baptist Association traveled to Wesson, Miss., June 14–21 to work on a church damaged by Hurricane Katrina. Zion Hill Baptist Church, Wesson, sustained damage to its sanctuary and decided to construct a new one since the foundation had problems before the hurricane hit.

The Tannehill Valley Baptist team was the second to help at the church. It completed rough framing projects to prepare for the next team to hang drywall and assisted in preparing the roof for completion.

A group of 36 youth and college groups, along with 11 adults, from Tannehill Valley traveled to New York City June 29–July 7. The students assisted two church plants in ministry, including working at the World Vision Center to unpack and sort through clothing to be shipped to community organizations and churches and painting an elementary school cafeteria. The team also went prayer walking and handed out evangelistic material.

A team of six from Tannehill Valley, along with five from Bibbville Baptist Church, Woodstock, and one from First Baptist Church, Woodstock, both in Bibb Baptist Association, traveled to Zacatecas, Mexico, July 18–26 to assist La Roca Fiel church with VBS.
