WASHINGTON — Dennis Griffith, Assemblies of God Teen Challenge for Southern California director, has been appointed by President Bush to serve on a committee to keep neighborhoods drug free. The White House Advisory Commission on Drug-Free Communities provides input and expertise on the Drug-Free Communities program, which is a federal government initiative that provides resources and information to local organizations to reduce the rates of substance abuse in the community.
Griffith has been with Teen Challenge for 25 years and is currently the executive director of Teen Challenge International’s Southern California operations. Teen Challenge of Southern California operates a residential program for 500 young adults who are addicted to drugs and alcohol.
